Mike Grupstra,

Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, BSc.Kin., BHSc.AT., C.A.T.(c).

Mike has been working in the health care field for the past 15 years.  He began his career working as a Kinesiologist in a multi disciplinary clinic in 2005. He furthered his studies in the field of Athletic Therapy and graduated from Sheridan College in 2009 with an honours bachelors of Health Science Degree.  Knowing that there was more to health care then traditional therapy, Mike then decided to pursue a degree in Osteopathy at Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. He has since graduated and is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner in good standing after having completed his thesis on The Effect of Regional Cranial Osteopathic Treatment on Obstructive Sleep Apnea.

Mike has spent time working in the sporting realm.  He was an Athletic Therapist in junior hockey, as well as professional sports teams such as the Hamilton Ti Cats, but has found his real passion working in the clinical environment.

Mike's philosophy to health care is treatment of the body as a functional unit.  This means finding the problem, and treating it at its source, which is not necessarily where the pain manifests itself.  Mike is dedicated and committed to identifying and treating health care concerns, regardless of age or activity level.
